Section 36 Amendment to the Source Protection Plan

The South Georgian Bay Lake Simcoe Source Protection Committee is proposing amendments to the Source Protection Plan and related documents in accordance with their Minister’s Order. Durham Region – Cannington & Sunderland Amendments

The South Georgian Bay Lake Simcoe Source Protection Committee is proposing amendments to the Lake Simcoe Assessment Report and the Source Protection Plan to reflect a well being replaced in Sunderland, and a wellhead protection area – issue contributing area (WHPA-ICA) for nitrate being delineated for the Cannington drinking water system. Policies in the Source Protection Plan for commercial fertilizer and agricultural source material within WHPA-ICAs for nitrate have been revised as a part of these updates. View the documents on the Cannington & Sunderland Amendments webpage.
