Province invests $3.2 million for source water protection in the South Georgian Bay - Lake Simcoe Source Protection Region

April 15, 2008 - The recent announcement by the Province to invest another $23 million toward protecting sources of drinking water means just over $3.2 million to the region surrounding Lake Simcoe.

Private landowners protect municipal drinking water

January 21, 2008 - The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) has developed a drinking water protection program for landowners who live near municipal drinking water sources. Through this program, property owners are being made aware of how actions on their own properties can affect the water we all depend on to be clean and safe for our families.

Lynn Dollin named as Source Protection Chair

September 25, 2007 - The South Georgian Bay-Lake Simcoe Watershed Region, comprised of the Black-Severn, Lake Simcoe, Nottawasaga Valley and Severn Sound watersheds, is pleased to announce that Lynn Dollin has been appointed Chair of the Drinking Water Source Protection Committee for the local planning region. Lynn Dollin, a Councillor in the Town of Innisfil, comes with a solid background of community involvement, consensus building and leadership skills.
