Source water protection plan of the Thames-Sydenham region is on target

The source water protection plan of the Thames-Sydenham region is on target two years after it was put into effect. The local plan, which took effect at the end of 2015, involves the conservation authorities for the Lower Thames Valley, the St. Clair Region and the Upper Thames River. It looks at ways to protect water at its source, including items like chemical and fuel storage, risks from manure, pesticides and fertilizer policies and sewage and waste policies, said Jenna Allain, the source protection coordinator.
